Posted December 31, 2017 I know this kinda seems like a dumb question, but I was wondering whether I should get a water-cooled GTX 1070 ti, that would let me OC nicely between stock 1080 and 1080 ti, or get a GTX 1080 air cooled which would probably be the same OC, but at a higher price? Anyway, without my babbling on, what do you think I should get? Vote in the poll!
 Posted December 31, 2017 1080 unless fan noise really really bugs you. You can *probably* run the water cooled one quieter but at the cost of performance.

Posted December 31, 2017 1080 hands down. It's worth $50+ more than a 1070 ti, so $15 is a no brainier.
Posted December 31, 2017 between the 1080 and the 1070 ti its always the 1080. Water cooled or not a 1080 is still superior to a 1070 ti. Microsoft in there infinite wisdom have decided to impose a VRAM cap for games the that use DX9 . May God Bless them those whoever came up with that idea. You're looking for something that does not, has not, will not, might not or must not exist ... ... but you're always welcome to search for it.
