Are you completely unable to see a Bluetooth option in Windows, or is the controller not showing up when you are scanning for new devices?

As long as you do not have a Bluetooth device connected to your computer you will see a red "X" under Bluetooth Network Connection.

When connecting to your controller, make sure you are selecting "Bluetooth" instead of "Everything else" when you click "Add Bluetooth or other device".

Could you go guide me through the steps you are taking to pair your controller with your desktop?

Alright. Which model Xbox controller do you have? You'll need an adapter if it's anything other than an Xbox One S controller. If you have a One S controller, do you have any other Bluetooth devices that you can try pairing with your PC?

Try uninstalling your current Bluetooth driver in Device Manager, and then use Intel DSA to detect and install the appropriate Bluetooth driver.

I ran the scan and this is what it came up with:

I did a bit of digging, and I just can't seem to find a resolution for you.

According to some other forums, Window's Anniversary Update broke the latest X99-Deluxe II Bluetooth driver. I found a few newer drivers for X299 boards, but the boards I found use entirely different Bluetooth hardware. I think you may be out of luck on this one.

Yep! You can pick up a $10 Bluetooth adapter from Amazon, and it would work just as well as your motherboard could. I've been using a Medialink Bluetooth Adapter since 2013, which is plug and play with Windows 10. You don't necessarily have to go with this one; any Bluetooth adapter would work.

Before you go out and buy an adapter, however, you should shoot an email to ASUS just to make sure that there are no newer drivers available for your hardware.
