Do you have a budget, and what country do you live in?

USA

"Reasonable" budget. Not going for a $500 mobo, but also not barebones bottom of the barrel

I don't really know what "reasonable" is for you.

But I consider roughly these options to be reasonable for an 8700K.

For the motherboard, the Extreme4 and Prime A are decent boards for about $170.

For RAM, there's this budget 3000MHz Hynix die kit for $170. Then, there's Samsung B-die kits for $210 or $225, depending on whether you want RGB or not. There are some Hynix die RGB kits for $175-180.

The Cryorig H5 and Scythe Mugen 5 are fairly well priced air coolers. The highest end air coolers are the Cryorig R1 and NH-D15. Then, depending on your case's support, there's the H100i, X52, Celcius S24 and EK Gaming 240 (240mm), H110i/H115i, CLC280 and X62 (280mm), and Celcius S36 and Water 3.0 Riing RGB (360mm). And then you have kits from EK for ~$300, and full custom loops for a bit more than that.

So having a budget would help narrow down this.

:)
