Is Haswell worth it, for an ultrabook?

Babyballable
Go to solution Solved by Nineshadow,

Yes.Not only is it a newer version and the device might be better overall, but haswell is amazing for portable devices. It brings much more battery life.

I'm still waiting for quad ULT(ULV or whatever it's called) CPUs.Even my craptop from 2007 still uses dual core.I mean, come on...

HI, I've been thinking, about buying a new laptop for myself. I've decided on Lenovo Yoga, the thing is, I'm interested in two versions.

One has an i5-3317U , the other i5-4200U. The one with haswell is 700zł (~200$) more expensive. Is Haswell worth the cash?

I will be using it for work, light video editing and light gaming (indie games).

Or should I choose another CPU? Like an i3?

go with the haswell one! the ones you're seeing are the ideapad yoga and the yoga 2 pro. Even if you completely disregard the CPU the yoga 2 pro is soooooooooo much better, the extra 200$ are worth it. I t has a 1800p screen (yes, 1800p), intel hd 4400 instead of 4000, better finish, better mousepad, baclit keyboard, etc. etc.
