I don't think you actually need glasses. f.lux works good enough for me.

But yes - bluelight filters definitely do help.

Pretty much my title; and if there are any better and cheaper alternatives what are they?

Want to know which mobo to get?

Spoiler

Choose whatever you need. Any more, you're wasting your money. Any less, and you don't get the features you need.

Only you know what you need to do with your computer, so nobody's really qualified to answer this question except for you.

I find that for mobile devices turning on night mode/turning the brightness down, getting exercise, and avoiding coffee after 4pm is usually good enough for me. (I'm assuming the reason why you want to block blue light is to get to sleep at night right?)

Just use the built in "night light" mode in Windows 10, or f.lux.

They also reduce blue-light emitted, just like those glasses does. No need to spend money on something you can do in software for free.
