Asus Z170 AR vs Z270 K?

Hey all! I was looking into getting a new motherboard, however my friend already ordered me one. The current one I'm using is the z170ar with a 6700k. I feel bad because the z270k looks like a... Less stellar overclocker. It's a gift, so I'll feel bad not using it of it's worse. Does anyone have experience with it? Which of the two are better?

Just resell the gift? it was rather his fault for buying it without consulting you after all we all have that one item needing upgrade somewhere and a more thoughtful friend would've asked what was it instead of giving/forcing you something that's even inferior to what you already have.

Eh. I wouldn't go that far to say that... It's much appreciated, but as far as I know it's not nearly as good as my current one (mainly due to the lack of top VRM heatsink). Also not sure how to resell it. The area I live doesn't have as much of a demand for PC parts, etc.

Tough mate, really can only give you my sympathies, seems you've your hands tied up, don't think that having a small thread backing up that you use the current one instead is necessary to simply not use it though, it is your friend explain why...
