Just joined the team so that I won't have to buy a space heater for winter.

Joined the team with a Precision 7510 (i7-6920HQ and Quadro M2000M), will probably join my ESXi box at some point as it has hardware to spare.

Joined, i5 6600k + 1070. It runs alot quicker than I thought it would, only around 3Hr for GPU work unit. 

Please quote our replys so we get a notification and can reply easily. Never cheap out on a PSU, or I will come to watch the fireworks.

Hit 1mill. First time I've had almost zero issues using Folding. GPUs were great, always getting x21. CPU didn't like playing higher than 10 threads.

I was like 'wow, he's so cheap' but it was totally understandable. that 2.50 kept them within budget lol and Linus the sob story guy but who is too soft to barter, whereas Luke when in competition, he's tough but otherwise just easy going. Wow, I thought they were going to get into a fight over the optical drive.

But seriously, it's all for a good cause. I've had two family members recently pass away due to cancer and one of those had Alzheimer's, so if I can offer even a little to help, I'm more than happy to.

Are people still folding? Thought id start, as I might as well leave my computer on when going to school. 

Custom pinewood case, Corsair CX 600W, Rampage 3 Extreme, i7 980x (@4.2ghz) with ML240 Cooler,  MSI GTX 970, 24gb DDR3, 240gb OCZ Tr150 SSD + 2Tb Seagate Baracuda. 

 

Advocate for used/older hardware. Also one of the resident petrol heads.
