Would an AMP help?

Confusizzled

Hi guys,

I have a beyerdynamic DT 770 but haven't really been noticing too much of a difference compared to $20 headphones/earphones. It's able to output sound and is actually always loud enough at around 25% volume on my desktop, laptop, and even phone. Would an amp help the sound quality in this case?

Just straight from the audio jack from my desktop (motherboard), or laptop, or even just straight out of my phone.

A DAC/Amp combo would help a lot. Schiit Fulla 2 or this are quite good.

No, what are you listening to? E.G. iTunes will have a higher sound quality than YouTube music

That's an F in the profile pic

Depends on the source. YouTube is s*it for Hi-Fi listening. Let's be honest, after hearing better sources I wouldn't return to YouTube even if someone paid me.

What you need is a DAC and AMP. Yea, quite a bit but worth it (10/10 me rated).

But don't worry I got you covered!

https://www.amazon.com/FiiO-E10K-Headphone-Amplifier-Black/dp/B00LP3AMC2/ref=pd_cp_23_3?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=8J2BJXWHT6CMK47JES8Z

Doesn't cost a lot, has both the DAC and AMP inside and is dirt cheap!

The sound quality is just, wow.

If you have a bit more cash, or even more cash, follow up on what Daniel Z. said
