I love the deceptive way that guy explained what Title II doesn't do. He's correct, ISPs can already throttle, block sites, and all the other terrible things... but must disclose everything they do. What he didn't say is that under Title I, they could also do all of those things, but without disclosing it to the consumer. 

 

This lady's speech should have been edited a bit, since she says that Title I will mean they can do all these terrible things, the writer should have added that they can do it without disclosing their actions.

I used to be quite active here.

I have 3. 100 down 10 up from comcats 80-100$. 25 down 1 up from sonic for 40-50$ and AT&T is not offering 1000 up and down for 80$.

If you have a VM in the cloud that's not hosted in the USA but somewhere in europe for example. Can't you just connect to that VM and browse the web as it should?

The only thing you need from your ISP is a proper connection to your VM and it's not illegal to remote into a VM in another country.

The result of this will be felt throughout the world.  If small US-based companies can't grow online because the big ones bribed the ISPs into slowing down their data, those companies will have a hard time expanding to the rest of the world too.

 

Not to mention that most of the world has a tendency to follow US policies.
