SSD = solid state drive, i.e. all chips. No moving parts. Truly random access, fast enough to saturate a SATA III connection. M.2 NVMe models like the Samsung 960 are up to six times faster than SATA III models.

 

HDD = hard disk drive. Mechanical, spinning disks with read/write heads flying a few microns above the surface. Painfully slow compared to ssd.

The Asus Prime X299-Deluxe has dual band a/b/g/n/ac+ and WiGig ad. No need for an addon card.

 

How will the external drive be used?

What cables? PSU has a full complement. Motherboard includes six SATA data cables.

Funny enough you barely know the difference between an SSD and an HDD but you want to spend 10k and build a PC. Something doesn't add up if you ask me. Just go on an online shop with a computer configurator and flash them 10k and they'll build one for you.

XP is perhaps 1-2 fps faster in most titles. It has a little more memory so can handle more complex stuff.

Tbh, I would recommend one of the lower core count I9s, and running a custom loop to cool the CPU, VRM, and GPUs. 

You buy the Titan Xp straight from Nvidia's website for $1200. Though a 1080 Ti would perform much the same, and cost $400 less. 

 

Edit: A single Titan V might actually be better than SLI Titan Xps, since many games don't really scale with SLIm

I want to build the best out of the best so I don’t really care about the prices

If you can get better specs then this pls tell me. Otherwise don’t put up builds that are lower then $9000. I’m pretty sure that a pc that has everything new won’t be less then $9000. So any changes?
