PSU and GPU compatibility

I'm going to order a gtx 1060 mini 3gb and corsair cx550m for Christmas. I'm putting both in a optiplex 390, and whatever graphics card I get I'm going to plug directly into the power supply. I'm not sure which of those GPUs I'm going to get yet but it will be one of those two. I just want to know if I can plug either of those GPUs into that PSU. Thanks!

Get a 1060 6gb if you can afford it. 

 

A cx550m will be fine to power any 1060, they all only have a single 6/8pin(I think?) and the cx550m has two 8pins for gpu power.

Yeah it should work.

Just be sure that your Optiplex case can mount a standard ATX power supply.

 

EDIT:  Just looked it up.  If you have the Mini Tower version, you *should* be okay.  If you have the desktop or SFF, you're out of luck.
