Fingerprints on CPU

I have tons of fingerprints and dirty marks on my processor (The metal side with the writing on it) I haven't touched the side where the pins go but I'm woried I may have damaged it or created thermal problems should I be concerned?

That side is more or less harmless to touch. The metal piece will be covered in thermalpaste anyways, if you really feel like it's concerning, give it a gentle rub with a cloth.

If there is fingerprints on the heatspreader of the CPU, then you have nothing to be concerned about. Just wipe the dirty marks/fingerprints off with a cloth or some isopropyl alchol if you have any.

Yes because the oiliness of the fingerprints might temper with temperatures, you should clean it.

Can I just wipe it with a cloth because isopropyl alcohol is super expensive where I live and what kind of cloth should I use

Does your wife/girl friend have acetone (fingernail polish remover)?  It works really well for cleaning PC parts.  Just don't get it on anything else.  If spilled, it will remove the paint off of your PC's case (ask me how I know).

I have fingerprints on the top of my processor where the Cooler should go but I'm woried that it might affect temps what can I use to clean it instead of Isopropyl alcohol because it's super expensive where I live.

alcohol wipes contain isopropyl also, they can be found very cheaply usually in a chemists/pharmacy or even some supermarkets.

To clean fingerprints though, just use a microfibre cloth... shouldn't need the alcohol at all if it's just fingerprints with no other substances on there.
