How to browse on 1 monitor and game on the other ?

Hey guys, im planning on buying a second monitor and i looked up on how to (title). but there were no clear tutorials and 1 tutorial showed a program that provides you of doing this but the downside is that it costs money...

if you run your game on borderless you can just get your monitor to the other monitor like you would if you ware not in game

In windows settings set one screen as main and let the other one extend it.

The game will run on the main screen and if you play windowed you can go out the game which in most cases freezes or pauzes the game.

If you play fullscreen you can alt+ tab out of the game.

As one who runs 3 monitors the two answers above are correct. Set the games you play to "Borderless windowed/Fullscreen Windowed".

 

This allows you to tab in and out of games without having it load forever with a black screen.

Using that mode lets your game function as any window, like skype, your browser etc.
