FPS counter wont go away

many people say their fps counter wont go away. im here to tell you three known solutions to this problem 

1) nvidia shadowplay, this counter can be removed by pressing alt+f12

2)steam. navigate to the steam settings go to ingame and set fps location to off

3)(lesser known) uplay for ubisoft games press shift+f2 in game go to settings and uncheck fps counter
