I loved the book, and looks like sadly they have cut a lot of it and added way more action crap (I don't remember a car chase in the book) BUT I think as a stand-alone movie I think it'll be pretty good. 

 

on a side note, the audiobook read by Will Weaton is amazing and highly advise it to anyone wanting a retro gaming story!
