Replacing system

ShoByte

Having northbridge problems so I'm going to build a Ryzen system. Not sure about this stuff been out of the game for 4 years. I have everything else for the system. My main problem is I can't make up my mind on the board. I want good sound and overclocking.

AMD RYZEN 3 1300X (It's on sale for near the same as the 1200)

GeIL EVO POTENZA 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Desktop Memory

ASRock AB350M Pro4 AM4 AMD Promontory B350 or MSI B350M Gaming PRO AM4 AMD B350 or MSI B350M PRO-VD PLUS

Didn't read carefully :l

If you have a R3 then go max with a RX 580 and a b350 board

I have the rest of the stuff.

already have a 1050ti and the rest of the components.

This is a secondary rig, so it has to be budget.

Mainly wondering is it decent ram and which board to pick.

Then all looks good. I have the same CPU and GPU. They are great partners for each other.

What about the board? Sound (with out buying a sound device) and overclocking are my main concerns. Could i cheap out and get the VD plus?

the mobo already has onboard audio(they all do nowadays) and the B350M will overclock. i'd recommend getting 1 8gb stick now and use the money on a better cpu.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W

Looked at my pocket book and the 1300x has to be my choice. After looking at performance to cost between the two isn't that much for gaming.

1300x

MSI B350M Gaming PRO (used msi before didn't let me down.) And red led's?

2x 4gb is 16 really needed? I mainly use this system for FFXIV

Hope I'm making the right decision.
