PCBjon

Ok people its been near 8 years since I last built my gaming pc and its really showing its age AMD X4 955 Amd6870(dead) 8 gigs of ram Noctua NH-D14 cooler gigabyte mobo.

Iv been out of the loop of tech that last few years due to putting all my time into my business and have not been keeping track of what's the latest etc.

My budget is €1,500 - $1,765

I plan on keeping my PSU (new) cooler and case.

How many watts can the PSU handle? It might be better to buy a new one if it's part of your old rig.

uuu what i built, will see you off well for even 4K so its pretty overkill xD drop the 8700K for a 8600K and the 1080TI for a 1080 and you have a better build for a 1080p machine if you want to save a buck

I dont mind a little overkill I rather have the extra horse power and not need it than need it and not have it If that makes any sense. :)

sure, thats what id do tbh, id just go for max performance for the money and then upgrade the rest to match xD

Are you seriously recommending that board with an 8700k and a 1700$ budget?

Which stores can you buy from? PCPP only has two stores for Ireland, and neither have Coffee I5s.

You could easily save costs by going with the Ryzen 1600, changing to 1x 8GB RAM, and getting a lower capacity SSD.

Unfortunately Irish PC stores are the biggest rip off going so my next bet is either from UK (overclockers, Scan) or from Germany
