E-ATX With a Vertical Gpu mount?

Hello

I am looking to build my first water cooled build but am still unsure of which case to get. I need E-ATX support, which many cases provide, but I also would like a vertical gpu mount because the water cooled ekwb gpu blocks look so nice with liquid in them i would like the ability to see the front of it. I use this PC for gaming and video editing and want it to outlive me so my budget is pretty large.

Any suggestions are good ones!

Regards

Kit

Which e-atx board are you going to use ?Some asus boards are called e-atx but they are really right between atx and e-atx in standard size,If its a asus board http://www.lian-li.com/alpha-550/  If its a true e-atx then that case won't work.A case for both https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811133338

That case the motherboard lays on it back so you can see the card with out the extra cost.Or find a case that fits your board and it don't have a vertical gpu mount you can rig it up with https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811999380&ignorebbr=1&nm_mc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC&cm_mmc=KNC-GoogleAdwords-PC-_-pla-_-Accessories+-+Case+%2F+Rackmount-_-N82E16811999380&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI4ou46MWB2AIViVYNCh1K8wZ_EAQYASABEgK9xPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

But that takes up all of your pci slots so if you want to run other things besides the video card then skip that.

Thermaltake View 71 TG

The Thermaltake Core X31 might work since there's nothing inherently stopping you aside from possible hole alignment issues, but that depends on the board

The view 71 has a problem with a e-atx board it hangs over the motherboard grommets,And if you want to water cool it then you have to give up one drive mount of the back side to push the 24 pin wire through the hole.

Sorry for the late response,

I am currently planning to use the ROG zenith extreme.

The tower 900 is a bit massive for my liking and the other two I don't like too much. Nothing wrong with the cases, I'm just fussy!

One questions. Is the Vertical GPU standoff compatible with all cases and is the TT View 71 Tg  compatible with the Zenith Extreme.

Thanks again,

Is the Zenith Extreme a x339 chipset ? The view 71 does support e-atx but in the real world not really if you care about cable management,Reason i say that is the board will hang over the rubber grommets on the right side for your 24pin and sata cables. You can run them through the holes for the side mount rad but thats ugly to me.That cooler master kit works on any atx case,Like said you can't run anything else that needs a pci slot,And some cases have the tiny strips of metal between the pci slots youll have to cut them out. There is a new case that just came out http://www.fractal-design.com/home/product/cases/define-series/define-r6-black-tg

Or get a different brand x339 motherboard the rest are atx size which will leave your case options wide open.

yeah, Options are limited I might just go down to an i7, still and upgrade on my i5 and I save a tone of money. maybe an i9 though idk.

Thanks for your help!

I'd take a ryzen 7 over a i7,You can get a 8 core 3.0 1700 vs a intel thats a 6 core about the same price. But what i was saying any x399 motherboard not made by asus is atx size.Asus likes to add a inch to atx size and call it a e-atx,And i have no idea why they do it when everyone else is atx size same chipset.
