Is it just me or does Fortnite look better on low settings vs high?

to me i prefer low but then again i played all games on low for ages so im used to it

I've always had a super low end pc up to this point so low doesnt look that bad for the extra frames. I will say that what ever settings the console are at is horrid and messes with my eyes for some odd reason. That might just be me though!

I've never played the game, but could that be because of the graphic style of the game? It uses simple graphics so if you set settings on low it may remove some extra features which makes textures look more clean/smooth?
