Time of that year again where Twitch (an Amazon inc company) gets some flack again! Woo, let's jump into the Pain Train and let's get her moving!

And from my point of view is that: Twitch needs to really set up to stop this, it's so creepy that they're allowing softcore pornography onto their site and when people take up arms, they reply with "It's within our Terms of Service"

i honestly dont care for shit about if this exists on Twitch or not. if you want cam girls there are much better sites anyway

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Advertisers will most likely care if they see their ads on softcore porn, and Twitch is the safe haven for former YT creators who ran from the Adpocalypse.

Do ears wear bras and are purposely hidden in society? That's a bad analogy.

 

The key is context and in this context,  purposely showing off your bust while streaming *is* for sexual reaction and view count, not a being in a natural state. People don't naturally just flip on a camera and stream after purposely prepping before hand to stick their tits out.

 

Breasts are more sexual in terms of stimulation than feet are even if natural biology, but some people find feet just as arousing. Context is 100% the context here, not the breasts themselves. Anything can sexual if presented that way.

 

When end goal is getting a view count based off a horny fanbase you may as well stream from an actual cam girl site. Twitch is not the platform for that.

Meh, just add an age flag to those channels. If you dont like it dont view it. I think its shit content, and id rather watch game streaming, so i just dont watch it.

 

If youre worried about kids seeing it, thats the parents problem. Tell them to get off their asses and take away the tablet/phone/computer if they see it. Id rather not have to worry about another content platform flipping out and going nuts policing content and fucking over legitimate people. Youtube is a giant shitshow with their demonetization policy, id rather not have that spread to the next largest free content distribution hub please.

Personally, I find children incredibly irritating and obnoxious. Which is why i never want any (not that anyone seems to be lining up to have them...)

Maybe it's just me but I have nothing against their hustle but I do think they should do it on a different site than Twitch.

Amazon/Twitch obviously don't care much as long as revenue goes up and expanding it to encompass more than gaming proves that. 

However I feel like Twitch should stick to its core which is game streaming. 'Booby streaming' isn't game streaming. Game streaming is the packaging but the goal for the 'booby streamer' is to have the audience watch her and not the gameplay. That's where the audience is and what they seek. I feel that it goes against the idea of Twitch and I do think 'booby streamers' have plenty alternative platforms but I'm guessing the Twitch platform fits their needs the best: the revenue is very good, the audience is big and they don't have to do nudity. If they went to a camgirl site I don't think they'll have the same opportunity as it would be expected of them to do more than just tease the audience.

Thing is, some of these streamers are also adult performers on other platforms using twitch to greatly expand their audience. I see that as the big problem. If these streamers choose to do private shows or sell nudes on patreon, thats fine.... however, they shouldn't however be given partner or affiliate privilege on twitch. These streamers give not only twitch/amazon a bad image, but also legitimately talented streamers.

 

Its really unfortunate that twitch/amazon looks more to the money in this case, they could resolve it now... or wait till big companies/events start pulling their streams from twitch. Which is what will have to happen for anything to get done.

it's not like sites like cam4 haven't been around for years which easily allows people to do this without violating a ToS or risk displaying your self to kids.

They need to properly categorize them and find some way to age gate it. Beyond that, meh. I don't watch them and I don't care that they exist. I'm more annoyed at the people that froth at the mouth about their existence then I am at them.

I'll never comprehend what people's issue with this type of thing is. If it offends you, or you just don't want to watch it - just watch something else, it's not difficult. And, like someone else said, if a kid wants to see that kind of stuff, it's just as easy, if not easier, to simply hit the "Yes, I'm 18" button on sites like PornHub or the various adult Cam sites. If they want to watch it, they will, and if you, as a parent, don't want them to... well. I'd say give up (waste of time), but if you really want to stop them, don't give them unfiltered access to the internet and keep an eye on what they're doing. Stop going around saying stuff like, "Won't somebody please think of the children"; that excuse is overused and annoying.

 

As for the advertising angle, why can't Twitch have two different categories: one for advertisers who don't care what their ads are on and one for family-friendly advertisers who don't want their ads on adult content (whether it be the streamer or the game). Speaking of which, why do people not care if a game has breasts/nudity in it (such as The Witcher 3), but suddenly get all up in arms when it's the streamers - who are showing cleavage at best. Isn't that what the whole "Meant for Mature Audiences" thing Twitch has if for? Just use that for the streamers themselves as well.

What? What kind of argument is that, that's just slapping a band-aid on a broken wrist, it won't fix the problem and just prolong it even further until more and more people complain, why Twitch allows softcore porn on their site is beyond me.
