Video playback issues on my Xbox One S

ZenMonkey

I use Universal Media Server software on my Windows 10 PC and connect to it via my XBox One S, but quite frequently if i have to fast forward or rewind the video I'm watching it crashes and I have to either finish watching it on my PC or start over from the beginning. Sometimes the videos are super pixelated and discolored and take somet time to form a quality image.

On my Xbox, I've tried to use the Universal Media Server app, VLC media player, the built in media player, and another player app I can't recall at the moment. The issues happens with all of them. Anyone know why this happens so I can (hopefully) remedy the issue?

either your PC is having issues with the transcoding of the video (not enough hardware grunt) and/or your network can't handle the bandwidth of the files (usually happens with 4k and up video) i would suggest getting plex media server on your PC and grabbing the plex app for your xbox one s
