Monitor Resolution Screwed up

Ruins

So today my computer did a update when I was planning to do a quick restart, but after about 2 hours of it updating, I accidentally pulled out the power cable because i wanted to put in my laptop cable (since computer was still updating). Then after turning it on and logging on I instantly realised the monitor resolution wasn't 1080p, instead on display settings it had 1280 x 1024. There was no other high resolution option and I could put it back to 1080p. I tried restarting it several times and nothing seemed to help. Can someone please tell me how I can get it back to 1080p.

~Thanks Ruins

PS. On speccy it doesn't recognise my GPU (GTX 970)
