C# - Basic Program that plays a video, then closes once finished

So basically I want to make (what I assume is) a basic program that plays a video file as soon as it's opened, then once the video is done playing, the program closes.

I also want to make a second program that does the same, but instead of closing the video, the video loops instead.

 

I haven't used C# in about 4 years and even then it was at a pretty basic level.  It doesn't have to be in C# but I'm trying to get it to work with DisplayFusion as well so it'd be preferred.

Any ideas? I don't know where to begin really.

Honestly I have no idea what I'm looking at here.  I see there's project files that I can just use but I have no idea how to get those to work in Visual Studio

Probably a worse way of doing it since audio is a bit fucked, but you could just run a CEFSharp environment then just link it to a hosting of the video as the webpage url, Done.

Yeah all around github and stuff but its kinda advanced, if I were you, just look into using VLC's addon extension thingy been a long time since I used it but look into it, its essentially just running a VLC window in the backend and then displaying the vid in ur app.

That sounds fantastic!  That's exactly what I need to be honest. I was just using VLC as a program before to play my videos but I couldn't find a way to tell it to loop one video and close another when it'd finish so an addon for VLC would be absolutely perfect.
