BitCoin Hits $13,000

Recommended Posts

Sold nearly 2000 dollars worth of bitcoin back in 2012... FeelsBadMan. I was so happy at the time, managed to pay off my gaming PC just by mining for 6 months. I could be a millionaire now.

assuming he lives in the USA, he is going to have to pay taxes on that when he converts it to USD. also most exchanges have limits like only $50,000 per week, so getting all of it to USD is unrealistic.

so he should send me a few BTC at 12aWut1YMQmFugzori8MJdwLUTVe6VvFKX

Just like other currencies?

How the fck did it's price increase for another 1800$ in 9 hours?

Not really.   BTC's value is only high because people want it (because of what it is, not what you can buy with it). It is more like trading cards than a currency,  yes they have a high value, but at the end of the day $100 worth of trading cards is still only worth something while people are interested in it. While $100 of traditional currency has it's value tied to the entire countries economy, not whether or not people are interested in using it.

QuicK and DirtY. Read the CoC it's like a guide on how not to be moron.  Also I don't have an issue with the VS series.

My investment at €10.4k has paid off. I am now €200 richer.

Until it crashes and burns, of course, but that means I can buy more cheaper!

Still a made up currency created by an anon people blindly give value to~

It's the money equivalent of eating something out of a can without a label. Sometimes you get fruit, other times it's dog food. I wish the hype around it went towards something productive for society.

How anyone can put blind trust into anything fully digital of monetary value is beyond me. Manipulation totes don't exist~

Very few people actually purchased and sold entire bit coins. Think of BTC as dollars in the 1910's, most people paid with cents/nickels and dimes.

It actually is, the block chain technology is getting deployed everywhere here in Australia:

https://www.businessinsider.com.au/the-asx-is-replacing-its-chess-share-clearing-system-with-blockchain-technology-2017-12

Heck we have some energy producers looking at it so people with solar can feed into the grid and do peer-to-peer energy sharing http://www.abc.net.au/news/2017-10-11/blockchain-technology-fuels-peer-to-peer-energy-trading-start-up/9035616

Still early days though.
