RX 580 4gb vs 8gb?

So I am looking to upgrade to an RX580 from a GTX 750 ti. But I am debating on whether to get an RX580 4gb or 8gb. I know there is only like a 3 % difference in performance between the two, but is the double amount of VRAM worth the extra 50 - 70$? The only reason I say this is because I have a feeling the extra 4GB's could be worth it for future titles, but how many more years could I get out of it for the extra 4GB's?

absolutely, better safe than sorry, extra vram always comes in handy it wont necessarily add more "life" to your gpu.

No, by the time most games use 8GB, the 580 will be obsolete. Save your money, buy ram/SSD, either of those options can be used for a long time.

Yes some games do use more than 4GB, but those games are not the standard yet, and VRAM usage can be minimized in the settings.

I advise not buying the 8GB variant because it costs too much compared to the value it can give. In a midtier build or competitive orientated game, you probably wont be playing at max textures. For $75, more ram could be added, a SSD potentially, another HD, or a better mouse/keyboard.
