How would you solve this problem?

Im stuck because of the phrasing of this problem in Spanish (Im translating) please lend me a hand.

 

three plus the product of two and an x number.

 

Because of damn phrasing I dont want to have this wrong (I have a perfect history) so, please

 

EDIT: Im not an idiot, answer is 3 + 2x but apparently answer is bugged, error is reported.

Did you try 2x + 3? LOL I swear online math homework sucks.. I had a webassign like that once.

Right now, I have a Test so the system is throwing stuff that im seeing now at school with stuff I saw years ago (all mixed up) to "proof my advances" and I cant believe Im atuck because of a simple ass 1st degree algebra answer that is bugged. ATM Im seeing elipsis, parable equation and point slope, etc.
