Wil it fit?

Swesaera

So I have been looking at the Cooler Master Master-Air MA610P and I am getting the S340 Elite. PCPartPicker says that the MA610P is around 158mm but the Cooler Master website says that it is 166mm. See, I know I should be be going off what the website it saying but PCPartPicker is usually trustable with things like this. Can anyone verify that this cooler will fit into a S340 Elite?

Thanks

158mm if the base plate is excluded. Take the CPU cooler height as 167mm instead.

So PCPartPicker is wrong on this one? It's always that the best coolers can't fit in the best cases FeelsBadMan

NH-D15 can fit in with both fans set to their lowest position. If you dont have low profile RAM though the first fan will have to be removed and only use the one at the middle.

The heatsink itself is 158mm tall. If you lower the fans, it won't make the cooler any taller.  Whether or not that might be a problem will depend on your motherboard and ram.

I have two sticks of G.Skill Trident Z RGB and a ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-E, have any idea if I will actually be able to fit the cooler into the case?

The ram won't fit underneath the fans. I'd suggest getting a cooler that clears the dimm slots instead if you want to show off rgb ram.

Some good alternatives include the SR Slim: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/Zr2kcf/be-quiet-cpu-cooler-bk010

Kotetsu: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/7998TW/scythe-cpu-cooler-scktt1000

or the H7 Quad Lumi for RGB. https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product/bHcMnQ/cryorig-h7-quad-lumi-490-cfm-cpu-cooler-h7-quad-lumi

Does the Noctua NH U12S cover RAM? I was thinking about trying to get the new heatsink cover by Noctua.

Hi,

I did manage to fit Be Quiet Dark Rock 3 and its a 160mm High in my S340 Elite with little bit of customization to the fan (Trimmed the bottom edge of the fan a bit to be able to clear for the RAM).

On the Be Quiet you can adjust the fan location, not sure if you can do that with the C.M, I can close the door with no problem and there is small gap between the fan and the glass door.

I have G.Skill Trident 2x8GB (16GB)

Hopefully that info will help ...

The NH-U12S completely clears the ram.
