LTT Official Discord!

Hey guys!

 

So as some of you may know, last Wednesday we created and released an Official LTT Discord to the Floatplane sub-forum. We wanted a bit of breathing room and time to fix bugs with permissions, work out rules, and other things before going ahead with a public launch. It seems like we've worked out most of the kinks so we're going ahead and launch this to you awesome peeps over here in the forum and our socials before later expanding to our YouTube community.

 

There's already more than 4000 people on the server but this is still a "soft launch" for now. Eventually you'll probably start hearing "and check our Discord server @ discord.gg/ltt" at the end of videos, but for now we're just publishing it here, and on social platforms.

PLEASE NOTE: Your Discord account MUST have a verified phone number to chat at all. We also recommend link your forum account to the discord! There is also some exclusive Floatplane member chat rooms, as well as automated notifications for video releases (the floatplane rank will sync when you link accounts).

Apparently not anymore. The Student Society I'm in uses it all the time for class discussions and announcements. But then again, it's Computing Science so we're all geeks.

Haha, yeah that probably has something to do with it "What's something they all use already...oh I know, Discord!"

So, what's the point of this? You can all talk amongst each other? Is this what the kids use these days instead of ICQ?

Or is it voice based? I'm guessing it is.

BRING BACK MSN DAMMIT. Live Messenger Plus was a godsend.

It basically was an extension of Live Messenger adding features like tabbed chats, chat logging, support for custom skins,  etc. 

It basically defined my childhood.

It would be nice if we could change nicknames. I use different names for my Discord and LTT and I'd like to keep it that way.

Same, but only very slightly. I might ask a mod to change mine from "Storm from X-Men" to "STRMfrmXMN" since most people seem to think "STRMfrmXMN" is a username I created by smashing my face against the keyboard
