Hello, After a recent update "I THINK" I am getting lower fps when playing battlefield 1. I am playing at ultra all maxed out on 1440p.
Shouldn't I be getting higher fps?  The reason I can't compare before fps to after fps is because asshole nvidia geforce app disables fps counter if you don't have the latest update on their shit software. And I assume it's because people aren't gonna be able to complain.  What is this is it normal ?

According to this benchmark you should be getting closer to 120.

Spoiler

Make sure vsync is not enabled and install all the latest drivers (as you are doing). If that makes no difference, make sure your cpu isn't overheating for some reason.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

sudo chmod -R 000 /*

Vsync is disabled and cpu is stable at 60-70 degrees. Wtf is going on??? How do I fix it?

Well that might explain it, you're rendering at 175% of your screen's resolution. Dial it down to 100.

Well there's your issue. That setting severely hits your framerate.

Set it to 100 and you should see normal performance.

Wait, what is that? Is it going to mess things up or what ? Will the graphics be shitty if I do that ?

100 is the default. 175 renders it with 75% more pixels than your current resolution. That's pretty much like playing 4K Ultra.

OMG WHAT AN IMPROVEMENT! :D 140fps right away.     That was automatically set for me I never touched that at the begining of playing the game.

Is that gonna change the graphics a lot? IS 175 and 100 a big visual difference?

Can't you play and decide it for yourself? since this is a competitive fast paced shooter the higher refresh rate should outweight image quality either ways.
