Laptop for programming?

Hey guys!

So I'm already looking for a laptop that I can use for programming and such when I start uni the coming summer. So since black friday is soon upon us I'm looking for some good deals.

I've come to the conclusion that the XPS 15 would suit my needs very well, do give other opionions if you're pro and know there is something better.

I'm just interested at the 1080p, i7, 16GB ram model (16 GB is a must for programmers right?)

But then I stumbled across the news of the dell xps 15 with 8th gen processor? Would it be worth to wait or just get a good deal on the current gen one?

My current main concerns: Will the price be much higher? Will the GTX1060 be included?

Your main concern should be: Will the thin chassis handle 8th gen 6 core HQ CPU and GTX 1060? I'm pretty sure that it will throttle if these 2 things come together inside the XPS 15

So you're saying the current setup is already max at what the design can handle. Getting anything more powerful into it would be waste cuz of thermal issues?
