Same card, different hash rates

New to mining, just started this week. I have a gtx 1060 6gb card (Galax EXOC). I started mining on nanopool for etherum and got about 19.5 Mh/s. Did that for a few days then today switched to Nicehash where I am averaging about 25 Mh/s. Same card, same settings. Is this common to get different hashrates on different mining programs?

On a similar note, I bought an Rx 580, 8gb card today. It gets about 20 mh/s on nanopool. Many of the reviews I saw before buying the card stated it should get about 30 mh/s. Do I need to change settings on the card to boost the hashrate?

Different programs have different hashrates.

Rx 580 with a hashrate of 20-30 mh/s is normal. To increase your hashrate, you would have to overclock the rx 580 and/or mod the bios. See the following link:

yeah, comparing hash rates across 2 programs (or currencies or w/e. idfk I'm not a miner) is like comparing frame rates across 2 different games
