What are your thoughts / Your experiences with curved screens?

First tv that is 4K. 

It's curved and I was wondering what this community thinks about curved televisions as well as monitors, I know that they can be troublesome with things such as photoshop. 

Are curved screens really worth it or are they just something that will slowly fade out in the future?

I personally, Don't have a problem with curved screens as long as they have good build quality. The TV that we got had a curve but it was very faint compared to others in the store, it's hardly noticeable and that's what i like about it.

I've seen videos of people who use curved monitors for cad and they say the "lines arent curved" claims from some people are BS.

Haven't used one myself though.

IMO curved displays are a gimmick. 

 

Content is made to be consumed on a flat display. Period. 

 

Curved Corners are not so bad but when the whole display is curved I just think its dumb and a waste of money.

i cant use one for more then a coupple minutes before i throw up. i get nausiated to shit by them so i cant use them

Would you say that curved is in most cases better entertainment wise, say watching a movie? 

Or playing a game, but I would separate these two into two questions though.

Curved can be OK for watching movies only if you set perfectly in the center. If you go off axis you will see some distortion. 

 

Its because of that, that imo Curved TVs especially are terrible buys since multiple people cant watch it correctly.

From what I know, curves tvs make no sense. But curved MONITORS in the other hand, geometrically speaking, they make sense.

But a lot of people say that it is not that relevant since curvature is very small (and it should be, otherwise it would be strange)

I personally dislike them. I don't care what other people prefer in peripherals,  as it doesn't affect me if it's not mine.

I not very like curve on wide 16:9 aspect ratio, it just some how not right.

 

But I am ok and prefer curve on ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio, it just fit nicely and won't have any distortion geometric issue.
