Help finding power supply for RGB lights

Jayliss

Hi, I need help finding a power supply for my RGB lights. I have a 4 pin 12v power supply that is needed to attach my RGB lights to my desk. Can you please help me find out where I can buy one. I am in New Zealand and don't mind ordering from eBay. The power supply must have a 4 pin connector.

Ok found something, but expensive . 38.00$ dollars I assume NZ currency , since store is in NZ

https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/BULDPC0350/DEEPCOOL-RGB-350-Computer-Lighting-Kit-LED-Strip-M

The kit include , power supply, remote , 2 strips .

One thing you need to understand, power supply must meet . NZ hydro specs, like voltage, frequency . You can not buy stuff from US and have them work in NZ unless voltage and frequency are same.

 They have stores :  https://www.pbtech.co.nz/stores

One thing . Look in local phone book and see if you can find electronic part store . Not the one that sell TV but the one that sell small electronic parts.

Call them and explain what you are trying to do.

Can you post the details of the RGB LED's you have, if they are standard SMD 5050 RGB LED's then you can get controllers such as this and a regulated 12V DC adapter. Most of those no name adapters are not exactly safe so it's best to get a unit from a reliable source of the same amperage.

Sorry this won`t work. New Zealand power is 220 volts, same as Europe. The control may work ,but the PSU won`t

It would be the same thing all you need is one sourced for the New Zealand market or get a new power cord, the units are capable of dual voltage,120-240V. I would source a good quality unit instead of these no name brand ones. Some good ones such as Meanwell, FSP, and delta make good AC to DC adapters.
