ethernet speed for steam game stream?

I have been looking at cheap laptops for steamOS game stream, but many of them only have 10/100 Ethernet. do you think that a 100mbs connection could be used for game stream?

I am waiting for boxing day here in new Zealand to get a cheap laptop does any one have recommendations on a laptops?

100Mb/s is definitely fast enough, what is your current internet speed?

would my internet connection matter? this would be for streaming from my main rig to a laptop via Ethernet.

If you don't have 100Mb internet then why are you worried about a 100Mb ethernet ports? :P  You are streaming from your rig to laptop through ethernet?  How?

Sounds like he's talking about streaming to his laptop, kind of like a Shield.
