Aren't all Asus Direct CU II coolers identical looking anyway? Much like many of the MSI cards look alike ect. The card in OP's link was weird, but it was at least original looking. =p

The 290 / 290x one have slightly diffrent VRM & slightly thicker heat pipe then the 270/280/280x

I actually do not know much about the msi gaming cooler other then its the old TF4 cooler with slightly bigger fans ( 92mm vs 100mm fan diameter )

The Twin Frozr cooler from MSI does look identical between many cards, but yeah. I checked out a Facebook link and the heat pipe is nice and thick. Now for them to do this for the R9 290. Even if the cooler design hasn't changed much, it's still an attractice card.

I still prefer the old style direct cu cooler on the 500 series, especially the 560 ti one, its changed slightly over the generations.
