Floatplane for Plex & Auto Download Script

Inrix
Go to solution Solved by Inrix,

@jt999 Here is the link to the post with the Guide and updated Screenshots ETC:

So I felt like being creative and also wanted the daily Floatplane videos to be automagically downloaded so I could immediately start watching them while I had breakfast after turning on my computer. So I wrote a neat little node.js script that auto downloads the daily videos :) But then I had the cool idea of importing the videos to plex, so after editing the script a bit to name things correctly I now basically have Foatplane on Plex xD which is kinda cool... Ill link some screenshots below.

Id be happy to link both the scripts, though the auto download does require you to get your own login and session cookies to be able to access floatplane... However Id want some confirmation from @Slick or perhaps a Moderator/Dev before posting them as I dunno what their stance on me sharing this would be. It still requires a login and everything, I just wanna make sure their all happy with it.

But anyway tell me what you think! Its super nice having the videos sorted like this and being able to just insta launch them in MPC or VLC is great. Oh and the "Episodes" are out of order right now because I was testing some stuff.

This would be amazing! I considered looking into it several times, then I realised I don't have any idea how I'd make it happen :)

Would be even better if it also worked with Bitwit Ultra :)

Yea :) Some of it was kinda complicated, I feel they sorta tried to avoid people doing this which is why I didnt just up and post the code. Though I feel it may get a little redundant when the new site comes out... Though Id probably try rewrite it anyway because MPC has the best decoding ever for web video and actually makes quite a noticable quality difference over the web player. It would be nice if they offered a API or something similar in the future but I dobut it.

Also I should totally mention that this is probably dooable for Bitwit etc too, presuming the form over there is roughly the same... If you know any mods who would actually be able to say if its ok to post the code/a guide please do give them a mention or a poke :P

Perhaps @colonel_mortis, @Ryan_Vickers or @SansVarnic Can answer the question of if its ok to share it... I might just post it after I have a sleep if no ones replied by then.
