GPU MAXED OUT AT 99% UNDER LIGHT LOAD

I launch cup head it's at 20%

I launch golf with friends it's at 70-80%

When I launch watch_dogs it's at 99%, even at the very low settings.

I have a gtx 1070.

Maybe cuphead uses V-Sync and watch dogs don't? How many FPS are you getting in watch dogs?

pretty sure watch dogs is very badly optimized, that may be the cause

90 fps with everything maxed out. Then tried everything on low settings, which is probably around 150-300 fps.

Watch_dogs looks like it's using 99% of 8gb of vram. It only requires 3gb of vram to max everything out. So it should only use 3gb/8gb.

A GPU should be maxed to 100 percent at all all gaming type loads(watchdogs2 included) . Idk what your complaining out there is nothing wrong

How? If it requires on 3gb of vram to run a game at MAXIMUM SETTINGS, then it shouldn't require a full 8gb

No but at Watch Dogs 2, yeah it should be. You would think people would be more literate on here, if a Game is demanding, its going to use more hardware.

It doesn't matter.... Its a demanding open world game. It should be using 100 percent of your GPU.... The only time a game should not be using 100 percent of a GPU is when there is a CPU bottleneck (Im talking about modern games not Minesweeper)

What you don't want is 100% CPU usage, as that can create stuttering as it will fail to generate sufficient drawcalls, or inconsistently.

100% GPU load or maxed out VRAM is no issue.

 

Honestly, why even bother with checking these stats if you don't really know what they all mean or how they should behave. Just play some games, should trouble arise post the data here and people will judge them for you.

I get it now. Been in to computer tech for so long, I needed to learn something new. Just didn't make much since to me. I apologize @Jredmond and @Majestic Glad I know now

Its all good, (Just want to let you know, that having a GPU at 100 percent is good. Having anything else like the CPU or Ram at 100 percent is bad) If a game is well optimized it will take advantage of the entire GPU.

Yeah GTA V does this too. It's also not bad too use 100% GPU load as that means you don't have a cpu bottleneck

Bo3 does it too. Destroys vram for no reason. Nothing wrong aside from the games themselves.

Even a computer genius might not know everything. I am glad you could catch the mistake for me. Anyways, if trouble should arise from my system I will post them here with the knowledge I have gained.
