HD 7850 (2GB)

Jay123

AMD's 7800 series has had a lot of attention for being good price:performance. I personally picked up the 7850 as it was £140 whereas the 7870 was £190 (at the time). Using MSI Afterburner I have it overclocked to Core: 1050 (from 860) and Memory: 1450 (from 1050), this is without a voltage increase and the highest load temps I've seen are mid 60s. Currently the idle temp is 23 degrees while the room temp is 19 degrees. The card requires 1 6-pin power connector and it's size and output interfaces vary depending on your model.

Pros

Price:performance, low watt usage, quiet, cool

Cons

Considering the price - none!

Yeah, I have to say this is possibly the best value card on the market at the moment. If you're running 1080p or lower, you can get over 60 frames in Skyrim at ultra, or over 30 in games like BF3.

A great all-round card; recommended it to one of my friends for the build I made him and he loves it.
