Now it's new level of extreme.

From one extreme to another, the differences become indistinguishable

I'd rather have them selling the shroud model for much, much cheaper price. That thing probably won't be plugged on anything after 5 years.

I like the look of them, but no I would not.

However, anyone who does buy one is virtually guaranteed to have a collectors item on their hands.  I doubt we'll see many of these sold used, except for maybe those trying to grab a quick buck by charging an arm, a leg, a spleen and both kidneys.

Anything sold as a collectible ironically never becomes collectable.

Depends on how many were produced and the quality of manufacturing.  I do agree that so many "collectibles" are just mass produced and thus devoid of any real value.

So, the "professional card, that's not designed for gamers and therefor much more expensive", is advertised to gamers? Sure Ngreedia spares no effort to get as much money as possible....

Mineral oil and 40 kg aluminium heat sinks are a perfect combination: 73 cores and a Titan X, Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Oil

Titan is a gaming card. So noting unusual here.

Has DNA shared with the Quadro but is not a "proper" professional class GPU.

Well, in the beginning it wasn't, and that was the excuse for the price. Now it's somehow "normal" for gamers to pay 1k$ for a graphics card, so they converted it into a gaming card? Ok, then....

The OG Titan was branded as a gaming card. They all were. All nvidia really says is that it's like a Quadro in the sense that they are (mostly) fully unlocked and can do some pro stuff. Excellent middle ground between high end gaming and pro stuff without breaking the bank.
