Insane 1070 ti pricing (outside US)

iamjsed

I was browsing on some of the online shops here in the Philippines and I saw this post.  I hope this is not accurate otherwise its insane.

What the hell is Strix Advanced?  Depending on the conversion rate it will be almost 700 USD? and if I pay about 10 USD more I get a 1080 Strix Advanced?

I hope performance between 1070 and 1070 ti is not that substantial.

Yeah, the demand for GPU's right now are insane. Current production rates just can't keep up.

GPU: XFX RX 7900 XTX

CPU: Ryzen 7 7800X3D

I understand that demand is high.   My point is that 512 cuda cores worth 150 USD this is what I refer as insane.

Odd. Unless sticker price gets marked up, the cheap 1070ti's should be going for midrange 1070 prices at my store. Conversions suck.

Just to be clear, Strix is one of the most expensive card series. If you manage to find something like Palit Super JetStream you can literally save like ~5100 PHP, and it's one of the top performers. Some Asus cards are in general cheaper due to branding.

The ability to google properly is a skill of its own.

they are priced the same as 1080s here in Sweden, this card is stupid

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

Spoiler

Found the cheapest 1070 and the cheapest 1070Ti on Norways biggest E-tailer, and the difference is about what you would expect:

Edit: Most expensive of each with cheapest 1080:
