Is $120 really worth it for a keyboard?

Photoncreator

Hey. Title is self explanatory. Thinking of picking up a new keyboard. Right now I have a full size with membrane switches, and I am thinking of getting this.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D8ETGJ0/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

Is it worth it? $120, TKL (i like very much yes), RGB, removable USB, and blue switches.

Any feedback or new suggestions? It's the perfect keyboard for me but imo $120 seems a bit too steep.

It depends on how much you like it and how much that money is worth to you. Objectively speaking, a mechanical keyboard is unnecessarily expensive.

I've only ever got free used keyboards my whole life.

But even so I can't imagine paying more than like 30$ for a keyboard. Especially when all the free ones have lasted so many years on end. Heck i got 20 year old keyboard that are tough as nails.

idk , 120$ sounds like way too much for any keyboard

Paying more for a keyboard isn't all about longevity, it's also about typing experience.

Ducky Shine Mini (Clears) > K70 (reds) / excellent scissor switches (rMBP / XPS 15) >> Cooler Master Quickfire Rapid (browns) >> most scissor switches >>>>>>>>> any traditional membrane keyboard.

I think I could still make a very reasonable case in saying 120$ keyboard is still stupidly expensive. Especially when they even did a budget keyboard video and found a few reasonable ones for low prices. Honestly it would have to be 120x better than a free one.

Full size is trash. You have to move your hands around to reach all the keys and it takes up so much space. Lame.

maybe if you have girl hands

Just found this:

Similar Blue switches, RGB, and TKL for $10 cheaper. Thoughts?

i think an extra 10 is worth it for real MX switches

Really, it's a subjective question. The 120$ corsair keyboard will last you for a very long while thanks to its sturdy construction.
