I never mentioned the bezels....

I do love phones with small bezels, that's why I have the s8. But I never mentioned them in my comment..

I said it was a brick, and I stand by that. It's thick, it's got a huge design to start with, and the ugly squared design of it does nothing to help it. Try shoving something squared off and big like that into your pockets, the only thing it'll do is tick you off that it catches on everything and pokes you. Now try it with something like an s8, iPhone, any other reputable handset manufacturer, there's a reason edges are rounded and the trend is slim and light.

On the other hand, 4000Mh battery

Lol he compares it to Gsync... It 100% is freesync which is a open source technology unlike Gsync.

PS: Dont forget, it's insane. Did I mention it's insane?

question is it actually this or is it reverse ? like 2560 by 1440p

my 2560x1440 screen is 1440x2560 if I rotate it 90 degrees.

muh specs

Gaming and HTPC (reparations)- ASUS 1080, MSI X99A SLI Plus, 5820k- 4.5GHz @ 1.25v, asetek based 360mm AIO, RM 1000x, 16GB memory, 750D with front USB 2.0 replaced with 3.0  ports, 2 250GB 850 EVOs in Raid 0 (why not, only has games on it), some hard drives

Screens- Acer preditor XB241H (1080p, 144Hz Gsync), LG 1080p ultrawide, (all mounted) directly wired to TV in other room

Stuff- k70 with reds, steel series rival, g13, full desk covering mouse mat

All parts black

Workstation(desk)- 3770k, 970 reference, 16GB of some crucial memory, a motherboard of some kind I don't remember, Micomsoft SC-512N1-L/DVI, CM Storm Trooper (It's got a handle, can you handle that?), 240mm Asetek based AIO, Crucial M550 256GB (upgrade soon), some hard drives, disc drives, and hot swap bays

Screens- 3  ASUS VN248H-P IPS 1080p screens mounted on a stand, some old tv on the wall above it.

Stuff- Epicgear defiant (solderless swappable switches), g600, moutned mic and other stuff.

Laptop docking area- 2 1440p korean monitors mounted, one AHVA matte, one samsung PLS gloss (very annoying, yes). Trashy Razer blackwidow chroma...I mean like the J key doesn't click anymore. I got a model M i use on it to, but its time for a new keyboard. Some edgy Utechsmart mouse similar to g600. Hooked to laptop dock for both of my dell precision laptops. (not only docking area)

Shelf- i7-2600 non-k (has vt-d), 380t, some ASUS sandy itx board, intel quad nic. Currently hosts shared files, setting up as pfsense box in VM. Also acts as spare gaming PC with a 580 or whatever someone brings. Hooked into laptop dock area via usb switch

Spec wise, yeah, it's great. But I'm just being practical here, do you want to lug around a giant awkward phone everywhere? This would be spectacular if they dropped the cellular ability and price a few hundred dollars and marketed it as a suped up small gaming tablet. Instead they made a Nvidia shield tab 2 mini with the latest hardware and cranked the price up to match.

Its just impractical and clumsy to ever use this thing as an everyday phone for 90-95% of people.

It’s a niche product.

Because in the mainstream market, who knows what Razer is? Let alone Nextbit.

you know how many people I see use their phone with one of those hard cases that make it really thick? A lot. The only reason I don't use those cases is I don't like how grippy it makes it, hard to pull out of my pocket. With larger phone screen, I find even my large hands have trouble gripping the phone shift the phone up or down to hit stuff at the top or bottom. More heft and I feel I could grasp it better.

Just my THX certified 2 cents.

fucking call it thx certified, talk about the dac, and it has no headphone jack

No Chroma?! How dare they not put RGB on it?!

On a more serious note, they should've put a headphone jack in there, even if they decrease the battery size because games love to chug battery power.  Without it, charging and using wired headphones will be impossible unless we either get a dongle that does both or buy wireless headphones

This is why the phone is priced the way it is. They could have easily made it cost 900 dollars or more, but the company knows nobody is going to buy it for that price. They're not known for making high-end mobile devices yet. It is cheaper than my Galaxy S7 Edge with better specs in every category.

We'll have to see how the quality control and availability is.

That’s exactly my thoughts. I think it’s a reasonable price for what it has in terms of specs, so we’ll just have to see what the availability and quality is like.

Main System: Phobos

Ugh, don't be a bezel snob. This bezeless trend needs to die. They have to make so many compromises for that effect. The iPhone X is just horrible! There's nothing wrong with the Razer phone. It's fine.

I am pretty sure the only compromise is front speakers. Even then its minimal on the Pixel 2 XL. Bezel less phones need to stay.  Whether or not you like the looks its much more practical to remove bezels to increase screen size.

The razor phone is just too big and this is coming from someone who had a Note 2,3 Nexus 6, 6P then to my S8+. Nothing compares to the form factor of my S8+.

The Razer phone is in the same ballpark as a Note8 size-wize.

I wouldn't have a problem with it actually. At least the bezels are put to very good use with a pair of super beefy speakers.

I do too, and most I know use a belt holster because it makes their fairly smallish iPhone or whatever huge.

Now imagine what this already giant phone will look like with a lifeproof or one of those terrible Otterbox cases. Literally a brick then.

Its just too big and so the amount of people it will actually appeal to is tiny.

yah I couldn't imagine it with a large hard case, but once could just use a thin rubber grip.

People like me who hate phone cases wouldn't mind. never once used a phone case in my life. Related, never broken a phone by damaging it.

A tad shorter but wider which is my problem.

Its like 100% the same size as my 6P but with pointed corners. I held my 6P again and cant go back. Like yeahs i looks like it has beefy speakers but its that the actual speaker size or just the grill?

Yep! I'll take a slightly smaller screen for better speakers thanks.

Also, what's wrong with having a fat chin and a forhead? It wasn't a problem last year but now it's a cardinal sin. Oh no! Not the chin! Anything but the chin!

I own twin S8s, after playing with just about every flagship AT&T offers. Palm rejection is a bad joke, and so are bezeless phones.

And the S8 was the lesser offenders, only due to the curved edge placing the screen less than 1mm away from skin.

One was free, and because my previous phones where the 950XL and the S6, and no Android phone below a flagship or running near stock suffices. Same issue on the S6, 950XL updates kept getting corrupted on first install.

And to be quite frank, observing some of those that think otherwise, I've come to the conclusion that many of them are idiots that ignore problems like this brcause they've become accustom to it.

Well if you had the same issue on two phones that def are not bezeless how about not gripping the phone by the screen. Like seriously you are calling us idiots because we dont know better yet you cant use even a phone with decent bezels without mistouching.

Sorry but the problem doesnt have to do with bezeless phones.

I've held these phones just about every way under the sun. My natural use has me man handling phones a thousand different ways, depending on where I am and what I'm doing. The problem persists. Everyone with a bezeless phone I observed has these issues.

Not a single person with a S5, Note 4, iPhone 6, Moto X, Lumia 1000 or 600 series, all phones with a good bit of bezel that is well out of the way.

And the S8 is as bezeless as any other phone out there.
