What people spend on their PC's is not only based off of their salaries, but of what games/productivity they want to do and if they have other hobbies. If you want, send budget for a pc list

Edit: I am 14, and agree with TechMan. I used Bday money and then upgraded GPU for christmas

CPU: Ryzen 5 1600 MOBO: MSI Tomahawk B350 GPU: Reference cooled GTX 980 Storage: Intel SSD5 256Gb RAM: 8gb Geil EVO Potenza Case:  Phanteks p300 PSU: EVGA 500 watt CPU Cooler: AMD wraith spire

Steam: maxarooni4

Battle.net: MAX

im 15 and I am working a $8/hr job in canada, I am able to afford the PC in my bio (was about $1400) in a little over 7 months (I make about $200 a month as of now.)

Edit: I mostly use it for gaming so as of now it can Run GTA V Ultra at 60FPS 1080P, and COD WWII at High 60FPS 1080P

That's not really a good way to look at it, honestly. It's pretty easy to assume if one makes minimum wage, then they have a lower end PC, if they make a lot more, they can afford to purchase a better one. However the more you make, generally the more you work.

Just budget and you can afford to buy a $5,000 PC even on a very entry level job.

Electronic engineer, $lots - I've been at it longer than some people who posted on this thread have lived. Yes, I'm old. I'm not going to list a PC spec, as I'd have to go "which PC?" #firstworldproblems. Some are in sig for illustration.

There is one consideration, that beyond some point it is more about where you choose to spend your cash. I could build an insane overkill PC, but I haven't. I could get fast cars, but I haven't. I could get a bigger house, but haven't. Instead I have many high end consumer-ish level systems, and some other hobbies that are a bit of a cash sink.

Main system: i9-7980XE, Asus X299 TUF mark 2, Noctua D15, Corsair Vengeance Pro 3200 3x 16GB 2R, RTX 3070, NZXT E850, GameMax Abyss, Samsung 980 Pro 2TB, Acer Predator XB241YU 24" 1440p 144Hz G-Sync + HP LP2475w 24" 1200p 60Hz wide gamut
Gaming laptop: Lenovo Legion 5, 5800H, RTX 3070, Kingston DDR4 3200C22 2x16GB 2Rx8, Kingston Fury Renegade 1TB + Crucial P1 1TB SSD, 165 Hz IPS 1080p G-Sync Compatible

TBH same, thats why my PC cost as much as it did, I could have got used parts but there is something about a brand new computer built by hand thats appealing

Ok, but personally, unboxing new parts is the same as unboxing used ones. It could cut your prices in half

cant really put whatever you do as a refrence for later in case someone checks it, so id probably just stop it or find something else tbh, i put the like two instances of me doing that as "voulentary work" or whatever depending on what im applying for tho
