Which budget powers supply

I'm a first time builder and I'm building a budget gaming pc I'm stuck on which power supply to buy I know corsair is quite reliable 

so I'm looking at the Corsair VS450 Series

Do you think it'll be good enough or will it explode

Corsair CX/CXM series are great and you can get them on sale for not too expensive for around 500W.

Also EVGA series PSU's are pretty good and also can be similarly cheap.

Both are good brands, get something with 80+ bronze certification if you can afford it (not much price difference realistically) and a 450-500 should be more than enough and will be reliable. Those are my two suggestions, anyone else?

I agree, budget options form EVGA, Corsair, or Seasonic will all be good.

No, the Corsair VS series are quite bad. Already told you to get the Corsair CX450.

Skip the low-end VS450 and get the CX450.

Looks for model series. Not brand, efficiency or wattage.

 

Corsair CXM series

EVGA G2 and G3 series

Corsair RMx Series

Most of what seasonic has will be fine. But try to stick to the EVO or FOCUS

Bitfenix Whisper

 

And any other PSU(That's not old) that has a good solid review from Jonnyguru or Tom'sHardWare.

Some CX are bad (ending in 30 or 00)

EVGA Bronze units except the B2 are all terrible

SeaSonic budget options are

EVGA budget options also bad somewhat

 

 

 

OP: Buy the CX450 or CX450M.
