Looking for a decent backpack for my camera stuff.

pbx2

Hey, I'm currently looking for a decent backpack for my camera travels, I'd like a couple of features for sure and a couple would be nice.

  • Needs space for a camera body (Think 800D) plus 2-3 lenses
  • Needs space for a 15.6 Inch laptop, 17 Inch to be safe
  • A large open area for putting random stuff

Nice to haves:

  • A tripod holder
  • Colourful insides
  • Straps to hold the lenses and body in place
  • Small space for SD cards/power banks

I'm looking at this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Abonnyc-Multi-function-Backpack-Waterproof-Anti-shock/dp/B06XF2KV6S/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1509145165&sr=8-5&keywords=camera+laptop+backpack

But it's missing a key feature, Can anyone find anything like that but with a laptop holder that's big enough?

Prices need to be in UK Pounds and not dollars.

Thanks in advance.

Far too much money for me, I'm looking more for less than £50

With that budget it is going to be hard. I payed that much for my camera insert alone...

Think carefully, do you want something comfortable and stylish that will also protect your gear you will probably need to spend more. Don’t make the misstake to cheap out and then realise a month later that you regret buying a better bag.

But if it is impossible to make it higher look at the major camera bag brands and see if anything at all will fit your requirments.

Look at the think thank perception. It is around 70 but among the best I could find in that price category.

100% recommend Lowepro. I use a 300AW (or something super similar to that name) and been using it for many years. It has been on tour with bands, festivals, wildlife work, weddings - everything you can imagine and still perfect condition. All their bags are super well made.

Also KATA (now acquired by Manfrotto) are really good :) but a little pricey, ThinkTank are also good.

Like @xQubeZx said - don't go cheap on bag. If a zip, latch or anything breaks you risk smashing all your equipment. There IS a big difference between good quality ones and not so good ones. Especially with the zips. You're going to have to spend a good few ££ to fit a laptop and lenses SECURELY & SAFELY.

If you can skip out the laptop (I personally never put my Macbook Pro in my gear bag for safety anyway) https://www.wexphotovideo.com/lowepro-tahoe-bp-150-backpack-black-1578043/?mkwid=sb0Ctyr3k_dc&pcrid=89741480819&kword=&match=&plid=&product=1578043&gclid=CjwKCAjw-NXPBRB4EiwAVNRLKhR2fZi8y6sNzlVaUf32xYMP8DFRxD_Nh0WdP8hcEA7d5mTuOE2kLhoCWC0QAvD_BwE Something like this.

Manfrotto streep should probably fit everything, its not £50, but the price is fair. There are other cheaper bags by Manfrotto, or maybe lowepro that could fit your needs and there is always the amazon basics camera backpack range. Their hiker series looks pretty nice, not sure if it has room for a laptop though.
