Downloads slower than expected

marc8122

I have a 100/100 internet connection, but i'm only getting around 18mbps. I've tried switching my ethernet cable but with no change.

Any help would be much appreciated.

What downloads? How are you checking the speed?

Is it Mbps or MBps?

It's mbps. I've checked the speed with Killer Control Center and by downloading with Steam and Battle.net.

Yeah but do you pay around 100 euros a month for your internet? It's guite annoying to get only a fifth of the promised speed when i pay that much.

1. Check that your router is capable of routing at 100Mb

2. Try forcing your router's WAN port to running 100 Full Duplex

Steam and I believe Battle.net both download in MBps by default.

In Steam its Settings > Downloads > Display rate in bits per second.
