i found a Intel Pentium G4560 for 60 dollars new and i wanted to get into the socket 1151 is that a good price for the CPU? thanks

ive been looking around for this CPU and see it go for almost $100 and im trying to build a cheap socket 1151 gaming rig

Go with an MSI pro-vd board

Or some H110M motherboard (like from gigabyte)

Gigabyte boards are really high quality. i have one that's more than 10 years old, and still works.

 

don't know about msi boards though

Yeah, it's not bad.  You can combo it with this guy for under $100 (though you need DDR4)

I usually buy from Micro Center thats where i found the G4560 for $60

if there is a deal for that then i will but i want a motherboard thats compatible with 6th and 7th gen CPUs so i can upgrade later and this is not an argent thing ill wait to find a good deal on ddr4 ram

looks to be a good deal, seems like most places at least online have it for more than $60, though i think microcenter has a combo deal or something for motherboard and CPU for a certain amount off, never been to microcenter myself. just what i have heard

Just checked the website, you only get that combo on $100+ CPU's, meaning you can get an i3 for the same price as the g4560.  I recommend you wait for H310 and i3 8100 to be available and get them.

Just buy cheapest working 1151 motherboard if you will be using that CPU.

Simple as that :)
