Holding them side by side the S8s is more satisfying to me.

I just tried an S8, the home button click feels like a weak spring

Not very satisfying at all. At least imo.

Personal preferences i guess.

Compared to an Iphone 7 with the Haptic feedback it is Meh but compared to any other device it's ok

Face id is just stupid. What if its really cold and you have a ski mask on, or goggles, or a motorcycle helmet, or a respirator or mask on for work for some reason. What about sunglasses, or if you have your face or nose bandaged.

What if you want to unlock your phone under a table or at an angle where its not directly facing you. I can think of so many scenarios where this might be an inconvenience for some people. Never mind the security issues or glitches. None of these are an issue for a fingerprint id.

So apple caused all these issues just to decrease the bezel size on the bottom? Or just to say hey look at us we do something new! Woohoo yay us.  Why is this so important? A longer thinner aspect ratio doesnt really have any practical value. Screen width matters more.

Just another example of phone manufacturers trying to build a better mousetrap and failing. If it  aint broke dont fix it. There are plenty of things that could have been improved that arent. Quit changing stuff just for the sake of change. Tech reviewers are partially to blame for this trend. Tgey crucify a quality phone just because its not different enough.

Any time you're going to be wearing a mask you will more than likely also be wearing gloves......And FaceID is supposed to work with hats/glasses.

There are also use cases where your face is visible when your fingerprints aren't. So no matter what either way has its shortcomings. Although FaceID does seem more cumbersome for Apple Pay. I would have been happier with TouchID embedded in the dispay, but they weren't able to get that to work unfortunately.

So why does FaceID have security issues and glitches, but Touch ID doesn't?

Aside from the fact that smaller bezels are better, the entire tech community has been giving Apple shit for its massive bezels.
