8th gen and thread ripper

Hey guys i have been really busy with all my admission to college and stuff and have lost track on new cpu releases, I. E., threadripper and coffelake. Can anyone please tell me about them.

Threadripper: Ryzen with twice the modules. You can see them as 2 Ryzen CPU on one TR4 socket using X399 chipset. All of them has 64 PCIe lanes and are meant to be budget workstation options to Intel's X299 platform. These chips are huge, which leads to coolers with big base plates to appear.

 

Coffee Lake: Kaby Lake with 2 more cores on i3s i5s and i7s. i3s does lose hyperthreading though. They all run on new 300 series chipset only, of which only Z370 is available right now. B and H chipset mobos will come early 2018.  They are known to overclock very well, hitting over 5GHz easily, to the point where the terrible thermal non-conductor/resistor under the lid limits overclocking as the chip runs hot enough to boil water.
