What mouse should I get?

Recommended Posts

Posted · Original PosterOP

I need a new mouse in the 40-60 dollar range. My current mouse is failing and it was super cheap so it's getting close to its end cycle. I need a mouse that fits good in the hand, I play some FPS's on it, which its really important because my current mouse seems to lag. I'd prefer laser, but am willing if the price and everything else is alright.

If you are going to spend $60 I would recommend the Logitech G600. I have used it for years and I love it

Steelseries sensei is the best mouse I've ever used and im still using it.

The old laser mouse? (hardware acceleration) really? you must have used a very small amount of mice..

Or do you mean the new sensei mice with optical sensors?

G502 is garbage compares to this. mx master is only good on macos.

If it is not broken, let's fix till it is.

Get the g403 imo... its pretty versatile for a mouse and it comes in wireless and wired versions, its also rocketjumpninjas recommended mouse so i'd trust him.

But i know its super hard to choose a mice since everyone and their mother is recommending a different mouse and thats because each of them have different hand sizes, comfort needs and the amount of buttons they want. So its best to just go to a store and try out a few mice just to get the feel of it and get something you like :)

Yea well this classic sensei mouse is useless for "serious" gaming it has a laser sensor you'll never know where the pointer/crosshair is going to end due to its unpredictable, inconsistent hardware acceleration.

i have one of those sensei mice myself .. somewhere :D But its a bad mouse..due to being a laser mouse.. Steelseries Xai was great though.

Depending on your hand size and style of mouse grip you prefer, you're looking at least 10 different mice to choose from. For FPS games (or any games in general) I recommend going for an optical sensor rather than laser, simply because optical sensors track more accurately and most of them don't have hardware acceleration. That being said, these are some suggestions:

- Zowie mice (any model is good depending on the shape and size you prefer. They all have the same sensor)

- Any Logitech G series mice, again, depending on the shape, size, and feature you want

- Steelseries Rival 110 (100) or 310 (300), or Sensei 310

- Razer Deathadder Elite
